The Sangamon Table Tennis Club meets every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church. 501 South Douglas Avenue, Springfield, IL (view map). (At the SW corner of Douglas & Governor. Parking is on the South side of the church; go down the outside steps and you'll see us through the windows.)
There is also STTC open play on Mondays 7-9pm at Nazarene Church in Sherman, IL (view map)

- On most nights we usually have an open play format using the challenge system, though a table or two may be reserved for drill practice.
- Place your paddle under a table to challenge the winner of the current match.
- During play, call a let if a ball from another table interrupts play or otherwise interferes with either player.
- We play according to the USATT rules (See also the ITTF Handbook).
- Matches are usually best of 5 games.
- Remember to record all your match results on the match sheet.
We encourage players of all ages and skill levels from beginner to expert to come play at our club. If you do not yet own a paddle, we have some you can use while visiting the club. Members are expected to bring their own paddles. Balls are provided by the club. |

Please try to follow these policies to help keep the club a great place to play for everyone:
- Treat your fellow players with respect.
- Treat the club equipment with respect. Don't bang your paddle on or sit on the tables!
- Clean up any food or drinks you bring to the club.
- If you arrive early, help set up the tables. If you stay late, help put away the tables.
- Have fun! =)

Club ratings are ratings that are tracked within STTC. You gain or lose ratings points based on the matches you play against other club members. The ranges and points gained/lost are a modified scale based on the USATT ratings table.
After each night of play, we calculate the new ratings as soon as possible and update the main STTC Club Ratings article, which appears on the right side of the pages on this site. Previous ratings are then archived under the Club Ratings category.
